Bentley will show the new Continental GTC at the Frankfurt Motor Show, finally bringing the open-top Continental range in line with the Continental GT coupe that first went on sale last year.

The new Bentley Continental GTC costs £149,350 and first deliveries will start later this year. Much too late for the UK summer, alas: good job Bentley has improved the multi-layer soft-top roof, then - and also fitted a brand-new Neck Warmer system...

I think that this car is absolutely gorgeous from just about every angle but, why oh why do the designers  of just about every car seem to ignore the fact that it has to have number plates?  On almost all cars, the number plates look like an afterthought - not part of the actual design.  A rectangular number plate inside of a trapezium just does not look good. A number plate that overlaps part of the intake looks even worse.

Toby - I think you will find that Bentley is actually owned by VW. However, I agree with the rest of your comment.

Why is it that the Bentley marque and latest  models always are shown in LHD. The fact that BMW is the parent company should make no odds . Bentley is British  and should first appear in RHD mode ... notice the display carries a UK albeit Bently personalised plate.... not a German 'Deustche ' plate .... so what gives

Lynda – are you using a pseudonym by any chance?

You see, I have an XKR and my wife is trying to persuade me to get the new GTC.

I am just acting reluctant to see what she offering in return!  :-)

Amazing value.  A Bentley is most women's dream. So much classier than a Roller. I will lean on my hubby to go for one. Mind you, our XKR is pretty amazing too, but not in the same class.

This is to me the most eye-candy car on the planet. The contours, the sweeping perfection of every line is just so pleasing and every bit as appealing as the perfect female body is. I am sure that if I every came upon one parked in the street I would have to put my love truncheon into one of the female organ shaped tail pipes as a token of my love. I just wish I could afford one and could then at least get a room for it beforehand...

So how much to replace the complete hood?  because some jealous person is bound to stick a knife in it.

For a car that costs £150K I would not have expected a soft top convertible, very disappointed about the manufactures using a soft top when much cheaper convertible cars use a hard top.

Thats good cause to repair the back window on the hood now costs £33,500 !!!!!
