Lexus has revealed the all-new GS saloon, which will go on sale in the UK next year and renew the Lexus challenge to the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class.

The new 2012 Lexus GS heralds a revival of fortunes at the premium Toyota division too - and will be one of nine new or revised cars to hit the market in 2012 alone. The new strategy is so significant, the new Lexus GS was actually presented in Pebble Beach by no less than Toyota president Akio Toyoda.

All future new cars will carry a new Lexus 'face' that debuts on the new GS saloon. This is focused on a new signature feature, the Lexus spindle grille, which boasts bold trapezoidal contours.

very nice car more agresive than older model, the I.S models are going to look the same plus they are going to do estate versions off the G.S and I.S as well, i was going to by an audi a4 estate but im going to wait for the lexus I.S  to come out first, and if by going by the looks of this car its going to be a stunner.

Very nice car but,

The new GS also offers a choice of three different types of wood.

I could not see any wood in the photos

Fins are built into the rear lights that help direct airflow over the car.

Did it mean that the rear lights are built into fins?
