Most of us from South Yorkshire on behaving badly or saying the wrong thing were 1/ sent to the naughty step , 2 / Our mouths washed-out with soap & water 3/ Had our legs slapped & put in the spider cupboard . But our Jeremy must have been left to his own devices and a stretch in public school must have made his anti-authority stance even worse . Too late to teach a old dog new tricks , so in retirement it will have to be politics , senior policeman , head teacher , or secondhand car salesman ? . I suppose he could do Paxman"s job if anything happened to him .
