Clarkson attacks 'babies on planes'
Jeremy Clarkson just can't stop himself can he? The Top Gear presenter recently took to Twitter again to complain about noisy children on a British Airways flight.
"When will British Airways realise that babies belong in the hold?" was the inflammatory result and surprise, surprise, it sparked an outraged response in some quarters.
Justine Roberts, of website Mumsnet, was quoted by the Mail on Sunday as saying: "There are plenty of Mumsnet users hoping British Airways will realise Jeremy Clarkson belongs in the hold."
Clarkson responded with this: "I have sparked FURY at the Mail for saying that babies should travel in a plane's hold. Mine didn't fly until they were old enough to behave."

CLARKSON FOR PRIME MINISTER!!!!!!!
i totally agree with free speech THIS IS ENGLAND AFTER ALL,THE LAST OF RIGHTS THAT WE HAVE LEFT WITH IN THiS BIG BROTHER SOCIETY,people that leave and write negetive comments work with-in the public sectors and are just worried about being shot,STOP STRIKING
Oh, for goodness sake, people. When are we going to call time on the PC brigade ?
When Renault produced a car with a prominent rear end the ad-men went into overdrive. The Public likened the car to a Big-Assed woman, they had a laugh and the ugly car sold like hot cakes.
Now I might be wrong, but I don't recall Renault being taken to task by mortally offended lard-arses, but as soon as Jeremy Clarkson draws attention to the obvious similarity between this Prius conversion and John Merrick, then he is immediately back to being public enemy number one (again).
Anyone who watches Top Gear, or any other Clarkson show knows that he is controversial. If you don't like him, or you don't like his shows, then DONT WATCH ! - Simples !
Either that, or consider getting a life.
Spot on Jezza!
Its not like these folks are being asked to take a pay cut as a number of private sector emplyees have been asked (told) to do. Something upon the lines of "if you dont take a pay cut of x%, we will close the place and move the unit to Poland".
No, all they are being asked to do is is fund more of their own pensions adequately. An alternative offer could be that they take not one based upon a final salary, (fully index linked of course), but one based upon their salary contributions up to the age of 60, or perhaps simply one that is not index linked at all.
It's one of the less constructive offshoots of this 'PC' culture. There is a large body of pathological complainers who go around looking for things to be offended about on other people's behalf. This makes them feel that they are caring and responsible. In fact, few of them do anything that is of any real constructive value to help anyone. They are too busy moaning about some casual joke, made on the TV, 3 months ago.
People who really care are too busy building third-world hospitals to bother with this kind of crap. And, in fact, people who work in such areas often develop a black sense of humour too because it helps them cope with the distressing things they encounter. Ask any nurse.
Oh my god! Offending people again? Really?
BURN HIM! BURN HIM WITH FIRE!
*Disclaimer... when I say "Burn him", I don't actually mean for any real harm to come to Mr Clarkson. It's just for comedy effect. I hope I haven't offended anybody with my comment, and send by biggest apologies if I have.
Get real people!
Clarkson is more of a comedian than a presenter now, and comedians are 99% of the time offensive. This stuff is written and rehersed before hand aswell. It's not like it's totally out of the blue. It's like the BBC saying "ok, go do this" recording it, editing it, airing it, And then saying "What the hell did you do that for?"
Also, When tv programes stop naming their shows "The boy with an arse for a face"or "Octochild, freak with 8 limbs" etc etc, then maybe I could understand all this a little more.
I can't say I found JC's comments funny, but I defend his right to say whatever he wants, unlike the po-faced illiterates who attack him. I absolutely don't want them to decide what I hear, or what Clarkson says.
