What about the Mercedes E300 Bluetec Hybrid?- an extremely tax efficient car as an E250CDI with hybrid addition. Will Mercedes put this drivetrain into the E Class coupe/ convertible as well as the saloon & estate in which it is already installed?.... I really do hope so.
Or the BMW ActiveHybrid5, (only possible as a saloon because of the design of the installation), but nevertheless an incredibly powerful car with seriously reduced BIK implications making it a far more logical car to own than a 535i on which it is based, and, before anyone else says it, more tax efficient than a 535d while the 3% Diesel surcharge remains in force.
