Premier League bosses have just clinched a new deal to sell live TV broadcast rights to Sky and BT for £3 billion. This is a remarkable £1.25 billion MORE than the current deal - which means one thing: more money in the pockets of footballers. And what do footballers like to do with their cash? Spend it on flash motors! Here, then are some of the future cars that may be splashed across the newspapers in coming years, being driven by present and future Premier League stars.

Eric Clapton is so rich and such a fan of Ferraris, he commissioned the factory to build a one-off special edition. It's beautiful. Anyone else rich enough can do the same, though. What chance, then, the SP12 WR Wayne Rooney Ferrari in years to come?

Give me the Aston everytime. Most of the other cars are 'pretty' and look like they go fast.  The Aston is not only beautiful to look at but retains a brutish and masculine look. See one of those in your rearview mirror and you would let it pass before it mugged you!

Wow, how many times will this author use "money is no object ". Footballers aren't the highest earning sports stars, let alone highest earning people in the world, money is no object when you are a multi billionaire, not multi milionaires, and though i am sure some coud afford a £22.7million car, however, I am prettysure it would make a huge dent in their overall wealth. Beckham who is probably one of the richest Footballers in the world has a personal fortune of £80 million, doesn't even feature in the top 500 rich list in the UK, let alone in the world. Money is no object when you can buy a premiershp football team and pay their inflated wages.

What an absolute load of old BO***CKS!!! Why would you think we give a flying f**k what these overpaid air bag kickers spend there ill deserved money on? You cannot possibly compare Eric Clapton to a footballer. Yes Clapton is super rich but he's 67 years old and has been performing and perfecting his art for over 50 years. I'd like to put all of the press in fornt of a firing squad closely followed by anthing football related. FOOTBALL, OLYMPICS, FOOTBALL, OLYMPICS...that's all we get. There are far more important and interesting things in life...........and we're not all sodding football fans.

This is such a  beautiful designed car , if I was to win the lottery this is the SUPER CAR for me.
The lines and curves of this car is awesome as the Americans say. a muscle car , sleek  and powerful. Jaguar you have done it now. I would love to have a ride in this car.

Wow look this has to be the best headline so far, yet another persuasion technique used by the press that fools us all into thinking were just the minority, Footballers Cars its crazy how people just think were just classed as the smaller minority going about our everyday lives

I was referring to the BMW i8. Just realised that the comments were for the whole slide show!

The paintwork on the Jaguar F-type is interesting, but I wonder how much a repaint would cost? Of course, money no object for the super rich.
