This is Mika Hakkinen at the wheel of the ultra-exclusive Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling Moss edition. Only 75 examples of this very special version of the Mercedes McLaren SLR supercar were built in tribute to British driving great Sir Stirling Moss. Without a roof or a windscreen, 640hp from the car's supercharged V8 engine and a limited 220mph top speed must feel somewhat dramatic.

They can have all their expensive cars, the best and most reliable car that I ever owned
was an old 1937 Austin 10, it gave so many of lovely years of motoring, and when I
first drove it, petrol was 1shilling and 3 pence a gallon, about six and half pence today,
with the cost of petrol today I am glad I gave up when I was seventy.

Most of the time these cars are provided by their companies, or sponsors, so they don't pay for anything, including fuel. Wasn't it Hamilton that put a Porsche Carera into the greenery? wouldn't mind so much, but he's a bigger whiner than Mansell was.
I prefer the motorcycle scene, at least that is more a test of a riders capability than the F1 procession is, if you want to see real close and dangerous racing go and watch the TT.
