Ideal for the eco-conscious with an expanding brood, the Toyota Prius+ combines seven-seater MPV practicality with hybrid power to give a claimed 68.9 mpg. A low CO2 emissions figure of 96g/km means zero road tax and no congestion charge to pay - although at over £26k new, it isn't the cheapest family transport.

Never seen any of these on any School run other than perhaps the Vauxhall Zafira, mostly its people in huge 4X4 that can't drive just clogging up the roads in pretty 4X4 that would never go off road, with even bigger ego's.
