London-born chef Lesley is a familiar face thanks to her numerous TV appearances on the likes of This Morning and Ready Steady Cook.

WHAT DO YOU DRIVE?
A Yellow Mini Cooper - it's so economical - I can fill it up and run around in it for ages. Great for parking too.

WHAT WAS YOU FIRST CAR?
A very old, rusty orange Mini Cooper which I used to pile all my kitchen equipment in when I went off to work cooking dinner parties for clients.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST/WORST CAR?
Best car is the family Land Rover Discovery. It's so practical, comfy and safe when driving around the countryside, especially in the winter.

Worst car was a beautiful but totally unpractical, very old red Ferrari. I found it really difficult to change gear. The furthest I got in it was to the baker's at Beaminster.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM CAR?
The new Mini Countryman, I love Mini's as you can see! It's an economical four-wheel drive, has a larger boot and is great fun to drive. My kids would think I was so cool if I got one.

DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE A GOOD DRIVER?
Yes - but perhaps a bit too cautious at times.

WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR GLOVEBOX?
Lots of CDs such as Doris Day, Oscar Peterson, lots of classical music and a selection of chewy sweets.

WHAT DRIVES YOU MAD BEHIND THE WHEEL?
People driving too close to your bumper around windy country lanes, and white vans going too fast.

WHAT'S THE BEST MUSIC TO DRIVE TO?
I think jazz is great music to drive to. If I'm driving to the gym then it has to be Madonna's greatest hits. I also love Radio 3's classical music, but when the kids get in the car it's straight on to Radio 1.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A CRASH?
Thank goodness no.

WHO WOULD BE YOUR PERFECT PASSENGER?
Cary Grant, who is one of my favorite classic movie actors. He had such style, charisma and many wonderful stories to tell. Hitchcock (my favorite director) always said that Cary Grant was the man every bloke wanted to be.

WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST THING YOU'VE EVER DONE IN A CAR?
You don't want to know!

WHO CLEANS YOU CAR AND HOW OFTEN?
Me but not very often - needless to say living in rural Dorset it's a tad muddy.
