WHAT DO YOU DRIVE?
I drive a BMW X3. I've had that for nearly three years.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CAR?
My first car was a 1969 silver Ford Escort that my nana gave me.

WHAT WAS YOUR BEST/WORST CAR?
The best was a BMW 330 coupe. I've got a little boy now, so a two-door car with a family - you can't really do it, so we got more of a family car. I had a tear when it went, I was very mournful for at least a day. I still think about it now, I see them in the street and I think 'aaah'. It was absolutely beautiful.

I've been quite lucky with cars, but the first car that I bought myself was an Astra, and that got stolen from a supermarket car park. I'd only popped in for a couple of things, so it was an extremely expensive shopping trip. I had one of those little trolleys as well, so I looked really stupid wandering around with that like a little boy lost.

WHAT IS YOUR DREAM CAR?
I loved my other car, but my dream car would be an Aston Martin. It's partly the James Bond thing, but they are just such beautiful cars. I'd love to have the DB5, and you can buy them reconditioned, but they're something like £250,000. I saw one on the telly that was a pale blue colour, and that was absolutely gorgeous.

DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE A GOOD DRIVER?
Yes, I am a good driver.

WHAT DO YOU ALWAYS KEEP IN YOUR GLOVEBOX?
A pair of sunglasses I never wear, but they're there just in case I forget the ones I do wear, and CDs that I've forgotten are in there.

WHAT DRIVES YOU MAD BEHIND THE WHEEL?
Loads! I don't drive aggressively but I do get really cross. I see people doing things and I think 'what are you doing that for?' People who have no foresight, they don't look ahead, they just drive, and then get a massive shock when they see you in front of them, that irritates me. People going 33 miles an hour in a 50 - that irritates me. Just general stupidity - although stupidity is measured by whether I think it's stupid or not.

WHAT'S THE BEST MUSIC TO DRIVE TO?
The stuff I love to drive to are the rockier indie bands - I love Kings of Leon, Oasis, and a load of Sixties bands like the Stones and the Who. But late at night, Radio 4 or one of the talk stations stops me falling asleep.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A CRASH?
I've been crashed into. I dropped my mum off at the dentist when I was 17 and had just passed my test. Mum had just got out, so I was climbing from the passenger seat to the driver's seat, and a woman who had just passed her test reversed out of a parking space, and was reversing towards me. I was trying to hit the horn, but the car was off so it wouldn't work, and I was straddled across the two seats. She hit the car and got such a shock that she revved even more and really caused a lot of damage. And then my mum came back to the car and hit me! She said I should have reversed out of the way!

WHO WOULD BE YOUR PERFECT PASSENGER?
My wife, but if I'm not allowed to choose her, Beyonce.

WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST THING YOU'VE EVER DONE IN A CAR?
The craziest thing I've ever done was having a little sleep while I was in the driver's seat, and it did cause a bit of a reaction from the drivers around me. I was being towed by a camera crew, but to all intents and purposes it looks like you're driving.

WHO CLEANS YOUR CAR, AND HOW OFTEN?
I clean my car, not very often. My neighbour across the road cleans his car every week, and he's always very appalled at how little I clean mine.
