C.Montone You have no idea what you're talking about, We design and build Jaguars and Land Rovers in England. Indeed the company is owned by Tata but they didn't bring people in to change the design of our cars!

The company is owned by Indians yes, but the cars are designed, tested, refined and built in Britain!

Rover did not make well the So-called best Rovers V8 at all, in Fact, it was a Chevy Marine engine, & one of Rovers Directors just happened to see one in the chandlers in U.S.A. one day & bought it.  Noted there was no Patent on it so they patented it & that is HOW Rovers so called V8 was made (Discovered & nicked).

Those are the real facts of the matter yet everyone thinks it is the Rover Company who invented & made the thing.

The best thing that came out of Rover was the Turbine Engines, which were built & tested on the A45& M1 at that time there was no speed limit on M1.

What happened to that well they closed it down trouble is The English Invent "But no one will Bank roll them" So like the Hovercraft, the Jumping Bedstead, to name but 2, were Bank rolled by other countries, even to this day their is NOT 1 Hovercraft been built that the Designer & person who made & invented the thing, has never been built on the scale that he wanted it made too.

We have the brains & engineers & inventors, But as per normal The Governments, past & present will not put their hands in their pockets.

So now, you know why everything has to be taken abroad, Simply because we will not give people the chance to pay for these things & do not consider the History of this country & the future is even worse.

Sorry Folks but these are the real Facts even Silverstone the government would not give a penny towards, yet every other Country help to pay for F1 tracks ours don't care, & that is another reason why although you do not realise this YET but Silverstone WILL End up by being owned not by US sooner than you think too!.

Can`t believe this fool gets paid to write this rubbish. The new Jaguar looks fantastic, but that`s it. Land rover and Range rovers poor reliabilty is known globally, (check out MSN Poor reliability or worse/poor performers galleries), It`s only badge kudos here and in the US to be honest, and the rest are German, Indian, etc... so what exaclty can we be proud of. Well there is Caterham and that wasn`t even mentioned, just like Morgan. Next we`ll have the BMW Morris Minor, and yes all the fools wearing rose tinted glasses will rush out to buy it, who says the Germans have no sense of humour, they will be laughing at us, all the way to the bank.

Nothing from the Morgan (Malvern) range is mentioned!

Not connected with the company, just a fan that wishes he could afford any model.

Stop moaning about who owns these companies. Mercedes Benz is only about 30% owned by germans about 30% usa and similar amount other eu countries. Mecedes F1 engines made in uk,,, and British overseas investment far outstrips inward investment. The world is changing .

At last some one is talking the UK up and not down
