This is the Audi S3. It's a sporty version of the firm's standard A3 hatchback and it's fast, there's no two ways about it. While it might boast a serious petrol fuelled bomb of an engine and chassis tweaks to match, it'll also be an easy every-day car to use.

Don't forget to add a few grand from the options list on any Audi. You could easily turn this into a £40K car.
Some options might be a bit OTT and indulgent, but there'll be a few options that will be "essential" when it comes time for resale. Unless you plan to keep it for 10 years or more, by which time the only real criteria will, of course, be condition.
