Honda Civic
"Best value car on the road"
That's according to the experts at Parkers car guide. After extensive calculations - taking into account fixed costs of depreciation, interest, showroom tax, first registration fee and running costs of service, repair, road tax and fuel - the Civic 1.4 i-VTEC SE comes out on top of its three main rivals in total cost of motoring.
Which means, based on three years of ownership and covering 30,000 miles, the Civic's monthly total costs are lower than the Audi A3 Sportback 1.2 TFSI, the Volkswagen Golf 1.6 TDI 105 Bluemotion, and the Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI Edge 5dr.
Little wonder the Honda Civic was Parkers New Car of the Year 2012.
Confident, clever and versatile

Quality and comfort levels are better than ever in this small family car. In fact, it's been designed with European roads and drivers in mind. Top features include:
- 'Magic seats' that fold in a range of configurations.
- New design tweaks that improve both the interior and exterior.
- Economical engines with exhilarating performance.
- New technology including smart keyless entry.
- The very best safety features built into every Civic.

Enhanced design
From the sculpted headlights to the rear spoiler, every feature on the Civic has been developed to optimise air-flow. An innovative new suspension system assists further by creating a balance between comfort and handling.
Our engineers spent time reshaping the Civic's cockpit so that the dashboard is centred around the driver, positioning essential information directly in front of you. Intuitive steering wheel-mounted controls and the use of high quality materials throughout complete the cockpit's refined, ergonomic design.
