OK, so we should be over getting excited about Lego by now. But we're not. Indeed, we've got very excited about the Lego Unimog and, all being well, will be having a crack at building one in the not too distant. In the meantime we've been having a go at another Technic set - the Supercar. And compared some of its features with the real thing...
OK, so there's not a lot of Porsche in the Lego Supercar's design. I'm thinking a bit of Merc SLS with a dash of Lexus LFA in the styling there.
Pretty cool though and it's got a whole host of power-operated functions with the doors, bonnet and boot spoiler all operated by the various mechanisms that go into the Supercar's somewhat involved build process. And one that caught my eye particularly was the spoiler and the fact I was driving a car at the weekend that had the very same feature. Witness:Boys with toys? Um, guess so. I've always loved Lego. And my love of Porsche 911s goes back nearly as far. To indulge myself in both over the weekend was pretty darned cool!
Now I've got my eye in Lego-wise I reckon I'm ready to tackle the Unimog. Watch this space...Dan
