The latest in a long line of wild Renault hot hatches: next Twingo muscles up
Biography: Chris Rees

Chris Rees has been writing about cars for the last 25 years. In that time he's driven just about every type of car imaginable and has contributed to dozens of newspapers, magazines and websites. He's also found time to write no less than 18 books about cars.
"My mother tells me my first word was not 'mummy' but 'Mini'. For someone who's that sad, a career in car journalism sometimes feels more like therapy than work."
"It's the more unusual side of cars that gets me going," admits Chris. "Every car has something that's fascinating about it. But get me behind the wheel of a car on a track and I'll wear the same broad smile all day long. One of the highlights of the past year was beating a bunch of other journalists in the Toyota Sprint Series - life doesn't get much better than that!"
Chris currently owns a Fiat Panda 100HP and a very rare Caterham 21. "Caterhams have always been part of my life. They're just so pure and focused."
